Frontend Engineer - Forward Deployed - Colorado Springs/hybrid

Location: Colorado Springs preferred · Hybrid with travel
Clearance: Must be eligible and willing to obtain Top Secret clearance

About Cyberspatial

We build security platforms that help analysts make sense of complex network activity in real time. Our flagship product, Teleseer, combines visualization, analytics, and interactive workflows for investigations where speed and clarity matter.

The Role

This is a senior frontend position embedded close to real users and real missions. You'll work directly with analysts and operators, building systems that need to stay fast, clear, and reliable under real operational load. We care more about performance, correctness, and usability under load than surface polish. This role is closer to mission support engineering than typical product UI work. We expect you to use AI tools to move fast, and to own the judgment and quality behind what you ship.

What You'll Do

  • Build and evolve frontend systems for real-time analysis
  • Work with analysts to understand what's slowing them down, then fix it
  • Optimize rendering and interaction as data volume grows
  • Implement visualizations using SVG, Canvas, and WebGL
  • Collaborate with backend and analytics engineers to ensure the UI reflects what's happening in the system
  • Use AI tooling to move faster, while keeping architectural decisions in your own hands
  • Own features end-to-end: tradeoffs, implementation, testing, and review
  • Travel regularly for deployments and to get direct feedback from users

Who We're Looking For

  • Senior-level experience with React and TypeScript in production
  • You know how to tune frontend performance beyond the usual React patterns
  • Hands-on experience with GraphQL, WebSockets, or similar real-time systems
  • You can ship under pressure without cutting corners that matter
  • You're comfortable when things aren't fully defined
  • You communicate clearly, written and spoken
  • Eligible and willing to obtain Top Secret clearance

Strong Signals

  • You've built, and can share demos of, frontend systems where performance and correctness mattered
  • You have work you're proud of that shows how you think, not just what you shipped
  • You use AI tools to move faster, but you own the results
Frontend Engineer - Realtime 3D - Remote

The Role

We build desktop-class analytical systems that run inside the browser. You'll shape the evolution of our realtime 3D visualization stack: rendering, interaction, and performance for extremely large realtime datasets. 3D graphs with hundreds of thousands of nodes, nonlinear video-style timelines, and interactive data visualizations in many forms. This work is artistic, performance-sensitive, and architecturally nuanced. We expect you to use AI tools to move fast, and to own what you ship.

What You'll Do

  • Build and optimize systems that render hundreds of thousands of nodes in real time
  • Push WebGL toward desktop-class performance through profiling, benchmarking, and iteration
  • Build the foundational rendering vocabulary and tools that other team engineers reach for
  • Use AI tooling to accelerate experimentation and shader iteration, without giving up architectural control
  • Daily standups, pair programming sessions, and code reviews with our creative and talented frontend team

Who We're Looking For

  • Senior-level frontend experience with TypeScript, React, Three.js, WebGL, and R3F
  • Bonus points for shader experience (GLSL/WGSL), WebGPU, and spatial data structures
  • Strong intuition for performance, memory behavior, and browser rendering constraints
  • You've built serious 3D or graphics-intensive web applications
  • You're comfortable owning complex systems, not just contributing to one
  • You communicate clearly, written and spoken
  • 2+ years working effectively in remote environments
  • Personal portfolio demos that make people ask "wait, this runs in a browser?"

Strong Signals

  • Background in linear algebra, computational geometry, or graph layouts
  • Prior work on visualization engines or custom rendering pipelines
  • Active or willing to obtain a Top Secret clearance
